Well Well Well

, There is nothing like southern hospitality like the Buffington clan

!!! I was treated to a great dinner on Friday night upon my arrival! My friend Mike Buffington had been scouting countless hours just in order for me to get my 2nd bow kill and boy did it pay off!!! We did some land surveying Sat morning and deceided where we were going to put stands for this season and clear some shooting lanes. Sat eve we got to the area we would be hunting and as we opened the gate a doe jumped out and just then I knew I was in store for a special hunt. Mike and Allen really knew I wanted to get some meat in the freezer so they moved a ladder stand to the field where we saw the doe running out and Mike says "Don't worry they will be back"

Just like a guide telling you where to throw your fly for that massive rainbow. He even told me which direction they were going to come from.
6:00pm rolled around and I heard movement in the woods that lead to another patch of woods and right where he said they would be ...a nice nanny popped out in the clearing. It was picture perfect, up the road she came to feed on the sunflowers that had been planted for the doves 2 months ago. Tops were just severed and all that was left were the stalks. She was determined to find a fresh patch but her dreams were cut short due to my pin point accuracy with my Browning FPS. Straight thru the lungs and 40 yards later we found her, it was a one of the best hunts I had ever been on and maybe the easiest kills of my life.
I'd like to thank Mike and Allen for a great hunt and all that goes into making a city boy like myself enjoy the great outdoors. To good friends and great memories!!!
Cheers,
Steve
