    The knife is not my tool of choice, but then I wasn't the one cleaning either. An old timer told me to boil with onion/celery until tender. Cover with pepper, put in ziplock with flower & shake, fry to brown flower, I add flower to skillet then milk for gravy and serve with biscuits. Its just like grandma used to make.

    "Tree Rats", eh? Been a long, long time since I've eaten them, but when I was younger I shot and ate the heck out of 'em. My kids used to love 'em too. Recipe sounds real good and we did something close to that, but squirrel sure made for a great Brunswick Stew, too.
