Mary, here are a couple of other things to consider. if we set the trap during the day time we catch squirrels, if we put it out and it still has bait at night we catch flying squriels. i dont know if you have flying squirrels. one way to find out is be in the yard at dusk until a little after dark. if you hear real high pitched squeaking, flying squirrels. they make great pets.

auto cocker with frozen paint balls will definitely put the hurt on them. don't shoot any humans with the frozen paint balls. it will seriously injure them.

I have been getting rid of every squirrle in my yard except this one.....I guess I have a soft spot for blondes lol.

Hmmm flying squirrels I wish they were I would of trapped one by now.. I had a squirel come in my sliding door as the screen corner near the step was loose. I looked up from my couch and he was standing in my dining room and scared shitless , probably wondering where he was, he was too fast to catch or he would be mine

They are cute! As a kid my dad had have a heart traps and he also taught us how to make snares in the woods from sticks n stuff and boy the crap the brothers and I brought home was endless... they didn't like my racoon in the feed bag and my brothers 6' pine snake and when my brother got bit by the muskrat it was game over... good times lol
