Sprig!

Finished a rig of 6 cork Pintails this year and they brought this one to his death.

Well only 3 were out there and they had close to 80 assorted decoys out there with them too.

Had a nice tail on him!

I had that in mind at first, but he was a little too torn up. I hope to take one on Saturday. We had quite a few in and out of the spread last saturday, so hopefully they are creatures of habit.

Nice pintail Dave....Saw a few near Chincoteague this week and heard assorted roumors that some were spotted in the Fox Island area as well. Can't validate this this weekend as I've gotta fish Fri/Sat. and pick up some Christmas stuff.

Do you sell birds?? Do any shows?? My dad and his brother are full time carvers yet I can't seem find the time to give it a whirl (two redneck boys, wife, dog, fishing/hunting/golf addiction and work).

Pretty work on the decoy and the bull Sprig Dave. I personally think that there is no prettier bird than the drake Pintail. Greenheads and Wood Ducks are a close second. Congratulations.

I am starting to compete a little, but don't sell my birds. I donate a few each year, but am trying to build my rig before I sell any.

It seems like there are a lot of sprigs around.
