Sit down Shut up And fish
Spankbox
After thirty years of duck hunting names have developed for our blind sites...Deep Hole (obvious), Cambodia (brushed with bamboo), Our Blind (one we took from a ex-compadre booted from our circle), and our all time favorite.....The Spankbox....
Any of you folks have any intereting names for your fave killing sites????
Let's hear them!

me llamo SUPER Dave
We have a treestand called "The Condo" It has a shingled roof and a damn comfy chair. It's getting up there in age and is falling apart now, but many a good day have been spent there.
Another one was called "The Zoo". Before we lost the lease I took my buddy mike there on a bow hunt. He missed a few shots at deer and couldn't believe the wildlife. There were turkeys, deer, squirrels, wood ducks, geese, etc. His exact remark was..." Damn man that place is like a zoo back there".
Another day my dad counted 37 deer in a morning at the zoo. 11 different bucks and the only shooter was 100 yds away through thick crap and he couldn't get a shot.
We also have a long standing tradition of naming boats "The Filthy Whore". The first one was a 12' popper jon, the next a 17' lowe, the third an 18' army barge, and the fourth is back down to a 1542 polarkraft. If you saw any of these boat by the end of duck season you'd understand the filthy part. Figured since many boats are named after a woman, I'd join the club!

Crab mustard is good
Good one here. We have the "Motel", a two man ladder stand; the "Clearing" stand (it's next to a clearing, duh); the "East Side" stand (guess which side of the property it's on); "Bones" (we found bones at that location and have added some more to the pile since); and a couple more self explanatory names, the "Hill" stand, and the "Swamp" stand. There is also the "Boat Drinks" stand, but I can't recall why we named it that.

Sit down Shut up And fish
gotta love it
gotta love borrowing someone elses "filthy whore" for the day.
Nice one Dave.
Under construction now on a small island is a 8x8 structure with a detached boat hide. Poles are set, flooring and siding up, awaiting the 80 or so cedars that I need to finish it to fall from the heavens before the VA season opens in earnest. It's gonna have the obligatory shooting area, a cooking area, and the lord know what else.
Video of Anthony, Butch, and myself building the thing would certainly have won money on that funny video tv show. The structure is a testament of "redneck injuneerin'" with all measurement miscues fixed with a chain saw.
Butch's could often be quoted on that day as saying, "That's ok....I can fix that!" then proceeding to fire up the Pouland.
