Dog gone it George... You had to go show that when all I have on my schedule is a couple rides out to Corbett... There the game plan is if its made out of meat- let the shaft fly and pray you don't get shot by the yahoos while dragging it out...
Fine lookin tree off your speciman. Hope it makes its way you your wall!
It's on a buddy of mine's place in Texas and yes, it does look unnatural. I will likely get out there in October to hunt and I hope I see him or another like him. They have some great deer on his property.
Here are a few "real world" shots from my place in Missouri this week to bring you back to earth. We have some great deer up there too. No giants on the camera yet this year but we only started running the cameras this week.
Good luck in Corbett Paul. I know there are some deer to kill in there and last year they had a crazy first month of season so you never know? I've been hunting a bunch already down here and most of the deer are still in velvet so still in bachelor groups. Bring your Thermacell though, it's been really wet and the swamp angels are BRUTAL!
Oh I'm used to the winged weight loss program out there... They generally leave me alone until I go to full draw. Inevitably one will start drillin for dna on my eyelid right about then...
I missed last year sitting in Jersey til late November. Took a couple "cull does" during their bow. Then I missed Jersey general gun cause that falls the same week as we go to Islamorada... Pig or bambi- if its made of meat and I can remember how to pull that string and let it go maybe I'll get lucky...
Crazy as it sounds if I saw that deer one my place I would tell you he is young 3.5 and need at least 1 more to reach his potiantial. But see he is form Texas they do not have the same bodies as ours do and won't know how old he is.
