    So So Snow duck hunt

Don't know if I still have a job, but with the snow forecast I had to play hooky. The Snow didn't start until 9:00 (dead high tide). A rather disappointing flight at first light and incoming tide. Got a Black early and tripped getting back in the blind and fell flat on my face in 4" of water. Lovely--- soaking wet head to toe and 32 degrees. Two drake mallards after the snow started and another Black I couldn't get to (damn, I need another dog). By 10:30 I couldn't take it any more and packed it in. I ain't been that cold in a loooooong time. Bird numbers weere disappointing, Mallards were well below normal and only saw two big bunches of Pintails (a mile high). Frigging Mergansers were flying though.
