So the girls wanted a road trip...

I was invited to do a duck hunt today by a friend who owns Haddock's shooting preserve, it is by far the best one that I have tried as of this date. These birds were as close to wild as it gets and very weary. I carried the girls both yellow Labs with me, Ruby, age 13, she had a blast and is now curled up in her chair dreaming about today as I write this. Lady, age 4 is at my feet with this funny little "smirkey" smile on her face, wore slam out. Ruby is now slow and steady, which comes with age, where Lady on the other hand is as you will see is wide open as it gets and is a full on charger, that makes me proud... pictures tell the rest...

As I get older, for me its about the girls (puppies) having fun while I shoot more with camera than the gun even though I still will shoot. For late season fun and getting to work your dogs or to get the season kicked off early and tuning your shooting and your kids (dogs) up on some real birds, you can't go wrong with finding a good shooting preserve for you and your best friend.
