Snow snows and more snows and a bonus :)

Well took a few of my buddies out today and did some stalking on some farms that we have access to around here. The snows been here and there but today we seen them on most of our farms and even got a few to stalk on.

We caught a break and had them feed about 20 yards infront of us, we were looking for a collar but didnt see any so we let them have it. 9 shots later and 40 snows later we started the pick up. Ok so out of all them one of them should have a band right?? Wrong not one, well we were leaving a we saw a small flock of candians sitting on our other field so we did a mini stalk and got within 35 yards of them. Looked over and saw a nice orange collar on the one canada goose so i let thim have it.

Ended the day with 40 snows and 5 canadas. Looks like were going to be at it again monday found some more birds and fields to hunt

Nice work on the geese. Just had country fried goose/duck for late lunch today. Don't get many snows in central VA, one snow and one ross in 15 years, I was on the hunt not the shooter, did flip a coin on the ross but losted the toss. LOL

Great post brother!!!!! We will be hooking up soon as the warmer weather has made the canadas re-appear! Had a good day today with about 3-4K using the pond on the farm next door. Got my birds with no trouble. i will be in touch.

No stalking down here as you will be shot if you even look at a neighbors farm!!

You're definitely helping with tracking birds this year. Make sure you post the banding data for that goose. I didn't think there were too many active collar studies for AF geese. Do you think it's from a "resident" population?
