Slayed 'em in the duck blind

That's right...must have killed about 50 of them. Hell, they were coming from every direction...left, right, behind me, in front of me, over my head. Yep, heck of a morning killing......MOSQUITOES!!!!!! Geezus H Criminy, it's the end of December and I am being EAT UP by mosquitoes in the duck blind...it ain't even any fun when it's like this. And welt's all over my face and hands!!

I know exactly what ya feelin man. I hunt out of DE, and its been hot as BALZZ. I was planing on deer hunting today, but just dont feel like haven to keep ICE in the big buck i was planing on popin!

Anthony, any ducks down that way? I'm going to be in Chrisfield for a couple days in Jan. Prolly look for divers off Cedar. Maybe head down to Saxis and hunt Tunnel Island. (Big Harry still holds the deed regardless of what the Saxis crowd tells you.)

Bert, it ain't worth a damn right now...worst I've seen it in years, hopefully it will turn around soon. Seems like there may be a few more birds on the seaside than on the bayside. I thought I knew every spot in and around Saxis but I have never heard of Tunnel Island...what and where is that?

Hunting has sucked so bad this year.

I am heading down to fishing bay tommarrow.

In the last 7 days I have hunted the choptank river, honga river, patapsco river, back river and the gunpowder river. All I have to show for it is a stinkin black duck.

It's the marsh seperated from the WMA by Starling Creek and Back Creek and includes the whole shoreline on Drum Bay.

If you come out of the ramp at Saxis and go out to the Sound when you go around the 1st Island on the left it starts at the 1st point. If you leave the ramp and head into Starling Creek it is the whole shore on your right past the 1st Island . Look at the chart and find Drum Bay and you will understand.

Dad, (Big Harry) is the last surviveing member of the old Saxis Island Gun Club that purchased the property shortly after WWII. He allows Grason Chesser to stake blinds out there, but I'm sure a few of the Marshals still try to stake some claim.
