Shot under the light...

Did anyone else hear about this monster that was shot a week or so ago near Goldsboro Milling property? It was killed under the light. Obviously a buck like this isn't going to go unnoticed and when stories didn't match up the game warden got involved....Didn't believe it until someone sent me this picture of the wildlife man holding the confiscated horns.

If the story is true, it sucks he wasn't shot legally. Would like to see a pic of him in one piece, how much did the deer weigh???

No idea on weight. Story I got is that it was a young kid that shot him. Then tried to tell everyone that he was out feeding the dogs when he saw this guy out in the field around sunset. Went back into the barn to grab his gun and shot the deer./

Agreed. I just wish it was legal so there were more pics and the whole story was out there. I wonder what that thing measured? I would have probably crapped my pants if that thing walked out in front of me....day or night!

I can't believe anyone would shoot that buck at night...
surely with a spotlight you can find a better eating...smaller doe around.

Who knows what the thinking was...I would have thought it was one of those robotic deer with a rocking chair on its head like that.

Not an unbelievable story. I've shot several deer on the back 40 that I saw while I was out feeding the horses. Sure there's more to the story. Sucks that he wasn't taken fairly.

I would love to see pics of the Deer too! Also like someone else said, I would probably be skeptical that it was one of those dummies that the Man puts out there.
