Shortbus Hunting Tip #2 Sight/Pin Guard For Bowhunters

Did not get permission from Captain Shortbus for this one, but know he won't care...

If you are a bowhunter and you've ever had a sight pin break while in the woods, hunting out of town, etc., you might find this one helpful.

Use a foam or neoprene can coozie (not sure the spelling?) to cover your entire sight during transport, storage, etc. You can usually find one laying around for free. They are quiet. They come in different sizes and colors so you can custom fit for your sight. They offer the perfect amount of padding and protection to prevent against bumps and errant limbs from breaking off your sight pins. If it doesn't fit quite right, use some elastic or small bungee cord to secure. When not in use, just cram in your pocket or pack.

Thats a great tip for the plastic type pins. I guess I am still old school. I only use sight pins that are brass or steel with painted tips. Running up and down mountains out west is tough tough on equipment...Mark
