    Shoot or not??

This buck in a high pressure area on the Nuese River in Raleigh. It would be one of my biggest deer to date. Let him walk or pull the trigger. I just put my cam. out yesterday for the first time ever here and have hunted this place 2-3 times a week for 2 weeks. I've got guys hunting weekends all around me on other property. I'm in a thick 50 acre cut over. I've hunted this spot for the past 3 years and all I've ever seen were basket 6's and 4's.

Oh..yeah..by the way..decided to let this guy off the hook for a few weeks. Didn't want to spook him. He is in a almost ZERO hunting pressure area.

The first one- If you shoot him are you going to mount him? If the answer is no, then take a chance and let him walk, if you need meat shoot a doe, if someone else gets him, then thats what you pay for trying to kill a monster but he ain't going to get any bigger if you shoot him. If you would mount him him then shoot him.

The second one- looks like a young deer and could potentially turn into one nice massive, tall buck. Has a short face and sharp looking rack. Let him go so he can grow. If you can't hold off then go shoot the first one and wait on the second one for next year or more years if you can take it.

    Thats my advice.

just depends on what you want, I think Anders had a great reply, ditto. I would be proud of either of these deer. It's all up to you.
