Well its about here, i finally got me a nice break of hunting and got some fishing in. Now its about time to get gunning again. Looks like this cold front will be here by Saturday, hopefully the birds will be using.

Heading to Hyde tomorrow afternoon.

Ill try to keep you guys posted on how the rest of the season turns out for me on this thread if you all dont mind.

Good luck to you Brandon. I got a line on a few east of here and will be in the canoe here in a few hours checking my better spot. Going to make a decision on where to go after my afternoon paddle. Some birds are here lil by lil in the past few days. I have not seen a ton moving in just yet. Maybe in the morning it will be one of those days when they "show up" right at legal.

nah nothing special.....just a bunch of black and white. just did a little looking around this afternoon. prospects looking decent. going to have the video cam in tow tomorrow too.....we will see what i come up with.

strange wind frigged us up.....still out at 0714 with 21 ringnecks. could have stayed around and scratched 3 more to round it out, but hell, they're just ringnecks. but not bad for hardly having to leave town......

About the same here Matt, but with some mallards and woodrows thrown in for taste. Lots of ringers around new hanover county I tell ya.

Nice job guys..sounds like most had a decent opener.

For us..a very frustrating day. Ass load of ducks feeding before shooting light and every damn one of them left. I dont get it..other guys said the same thing happened. It was some very "ducky" weather with no birds after shooting time.

Pulled the trigger on two teal the whole morning...

I guess ill be back out in the river or swamps sometime this week.
