Now I've hunted in the rain before, but this one about takes the cake. It rained buckets all day long. I had to bail the boat out 3 times. I knew it was going to be wet so I doned the waders and Grundens. By 10:00 I was drenched from the chest up.
Anyway, on with the report:
Not exactly a barn burner. Dead low tide at sunup, coupled with the downpour, not much flew. A very few Mallards flew but I miffed 4 shots in a row=--
Passed on 2 sets on Mergatroids, Finally the rain tapered to a soft rain about 1:00 and I got rid of the rubber shells. Not exactly steller, but they did start to fly. Finally scratched out a limit of 4 Mallards and a Teal by 3:00.
Well well, nice job Glenn. Way to stick around, personlly by about 11 i cant stand it, unless im either seein alot of birds or shootn im outta there . Guess its just lack of patience. I have had most of my best days, im talkn BEST days in some hard ass rain man. But hey man nice shootn and keep killn em
