Score finally

So after working around the house all day yesterday I decided to "take the bow for a walk". Grabbed my stuff and headed out. Pretty dry yesterday afternoon so I took my time walking to my stand that I haven't been to in three weeks. Get up in the tree and pull the bow up, no sooner nock and arrow and I hear the tale tale sound. Nice 5 pointer decided to scent check the sound he heard (me). I let him pass and after 20 minutes he finally went back into the thick stuff. About an hour later a spike comes along, just browsing, let him go. Not 5 minutes later I hear a crashing sound and the 5 point is back nose to the sky. Unfortionately for this horny little dude the spike wasn't what he wanted. Everything quiets down until a doe and two lilttle ones come by. The little ones playing but momma knew something wasn't right and looked up at me and watched me the whole time she and her little ones walked by. She didn't spook but she knew something wasn't right. Not 5 minutes that same 5 point comes busting out and put the chase on. I noticed a good and fresh scape but so far nothing had been checking it out. Now things got quiet again for a while when I hear some crashing sounds, sticks breaking etc. Here comes the 5 point and he is moving pretty fast but not like running from danger. Keep watching that direction and I noticed a piece of bone moving, then a little more, then a small tree getting torn up. Game on time to get ready. So he makes is way up the trail only to stop 15 yards facing me, very nice 8 point. We have a stare down for 20 minutes or so, I am 22 feet up but he knew something wasn't right too, before he starts heading for the scape. Takes a quartering away step behind a tree so I drew and he stops again head and hind showing, holding, holding, holding..... finally takes two more steps. Hit the release and can see the shot looked good. Watch him run 40 or so yards and the 2 blade Rage put the heat on him. He's down.
I am amazed at the size of entrance wound...dressed @ 187 pounds. Guessing 3.5 maybe 4.5 years old

Not the one I have been after for the past 3 years but still a good mature buck none the less.

Dude that is the entrance!!! Those 2 blade Rages put the heat on bigtime.
I used to use aftershocks but would only have one large wound to bleed out on.

Nice deer dude! How is your broad head? I started shooting three blade rage's this year and they are awesome I've taken a nice buck and a big doe! but both times the broadheads were trashed with bent blades? Kinda exspensive at $40.00 a 3 pack! Good job on the buck. Scotty.

the head is fine, I plan on re-using after I sharpen the blades and or but replacement blades. I heard from another person the three blades don't hold up as well.
