now I would have passed on this deer, but I can see how a 14 yr. old boy with a home made long bow might be tempted to shoot it before it was mature. I don't know what it scores, but I would would guess the internet will have us a score shortly. I'm just gonna make a wild guess at 280.

Thirty point DEER

Shot by an Amish boy with hand made long bow:

This buck was taken by a 14 year old Amish boy near Dalton WI. He used a hand made long bow and made the killing shot by stalking the huge buck using corn shocks for cover. The boy's family would not allow him to pose with the trophy animal for pictures so a nearby neighbor, Willie Flacid posed and is also acting as spokesman for the Amish boy.

According to Flacid, the Amish family has already received several offers from outdoor sporting companies to purchase the trophy. No dollar amount has been announced yet, but according to Flacid, 'the amount of money being offered is enough that no one would ever be hard up again.'

I got this one in an email too. There wasn't astory behind the one I got, just pictures. However it was killed, that is one awesome deer.

It's too big to even guess at.

i bet that deer is well over 300 P&Y if its not im shocked....

That deer was taken by an omish guy in ohio 2005 or 6 with a crossbow.I want to say it netted in the high 280's. I have seen it twice at shows and was at the Buckeye Big Buck Club Banquet in Sept went it was entered.

if you read it said it scored 291 2/8 B&C. I dont know why 2/8 but ok. Nice deer and I'm glad it died of a bow than natural causes.

I just found my Banquet Program. I was taken in 2006 in Peebles Co. Ohio With a Crossbow. It went into the Buckeye Big Buck Club @ 295 3/8"
