what brands? methods? etc...
thanks.

I use Hunters Specialties product, every thing from Laundry soap, bath Soap, dryersheets, deoderant, sent away pray plus SentLoc clothing and rubber boots. It' all about a complete system if you leave out any part you stand abigger chance of getting busted. It's kinda like stealth you don't eliminate you smell completely but you make a smaller cross section so they think your farther away than you are.Plus any smells you get on the outside of your clothes or equipment is a killer.
That's my way maybe not the right way.
+1 buckeye...except I take it a little farther...my boots never come in the house and are sprayed down when I take them off and before each trip...I even wash my towels and washclothes in the HS detergent before I use them...I spray my seat in the vehicle with scent-away spray then lay my towel down on the seat...I pull all my clothes out of the dryer and they go in a scent-away sealable bag and I get dressed after I get out of the jeep before heading into the stand...
I know...I know...it overboard but hey...it seems to work...then I take my wife hunting with me...neither one of us bathe or wear scent free clothing...we are drinking coffee in the blind...and smoking cigs (back when I smoked)...and we were covered up with deer coming from downwind...must have been the coffee and nicotine...
I tried everything and came to the conclusion that scent control is for the hunter! do yourself a favor and hunt the wind! I hunt with a guy that is on a few pro staffs and they did a few experiments with scent elimination products and did everything by the book got upwind and the deer still winded them! so after hearing that i just stick to the basics and hunt the wind!
Hunt the wind
Wow, I thought I was the only one who thought that way. I believe you shouldnt use scented soaps, or cologne, but other than basic sent free soap/deoderant, I just go at it. Never used any of the stuff they market, cuz I dont buy into it. I watch the wind, and shift my hunting accordingly.
Wind plays such a role, that if I am in a tree and the wind shifts and blows over my shooting lanes, I will get down and still hunt my way out of the area as to not ruin a spot. I absolutely must have the wind in my face when hunting.
Although I still wash the clothes, spray down, etc. etc.. No sent lok clothing yet. I still plan my hunts almost exclusivly by wind direction. We make sure we have setups for different wind directions. Most sets are put together based on N, NW, W, SW since those are the dominant winds during the season. We do have several go to spots for east, but deer just don't seem to move much then for some reason. So even with "protection" hunting wind direction is still most important in my mind. I will say some of my best encounters occured when the wind direction was "almost wrong" bucks seem to at least like to travel with the wind in their face or at least quarter into the wind. Although for me that was not the case this year for some reason. So like Buckeye said, if taking precautions "narrows" our scent it would be worth the effort.
Of all things I think sent controll of your feet is of most importance. Rubber boots and spray seem to make the difference. This year I had a real problem with deer "picking up" on where I walked and all though they did not always take off they got real spooky. My rubber boots are old and starting to crack and I guess I should have known if they leak water then the scent is leaking out...Duh. Well hopfully that will be cured with the new pair of MUCKS that Santa delivered.
