Not for the squeemish:
My title kind of says it all... Serious question for those in the know. Ironic that it comes just days after the passing of the great George Carlin who once did a famous skit about shit. But, this isn't a joke...
I've hunted for a long time. Comming with that you learn to read sign. Tracks, buck rums, worked paths, rooted up earth and yes good ol shit. I can identify bunny balls, coon pellets, deer pellets, dog shit, people shit, shit, rat shit, bat shit, and dozens of different bird shits. This one has me stumped..
Noticed it this morn, was intrigued as I couldn't identify it. Went to get my camera then but got sidetracked. When I remembered it had dried and shrunk some but this pile still has me wondering what the hell it could have been from?
The pile is about ten inches long, four wide and a couple high. Appeared to be the mother log of all time over an inch in diameter and busted into segments. Way dark and what appears to be some kind of seed in it.
Its right next to my pool in a fenced in back yard. What ever made it would have had to hop the fence...and would have to be big...
I watched things change as a kid. When I was little we had quail. They vanished and the pheasants got thick. Always had squirrels and rabbits. Now the deer are thick. Ducks not living in the ponds but rater in the deep woods. Even have turkeys. A few foxes have showed and even a coyote or two. Never saw a coyote shit before... Coul this be from one of them? No bears but the pile is bear class size. Any input ?
