The Rut is on

We drove from Richmond to Blacksburg (Va) and back yesterday and today. I counted 53 dead deer road side on the round trip (225 miles each way). Mostly on I-81 in the mountains. Also 1 yote and a Bear. Most appeared to be does on the roam, with about 25% bucks.
The big boys will be doing stupid things the next couple of weeks.

Next time cut some damn tails off for me!!!

Saw a bunch in MD today too. Saw a buck hanging with a solo doe in a field this evening and a buck chasing a herd of does around in another field.

This week is the one to be in the woods if you want a big ole coat rack.
