I had an epic day in the pit Friday over on the Eastern Shore. It was very windy and pretty cold. One of Our pits is located near the river and has several large lakes and ponds nearby. Since all the little water was froze, there were alot of ducks flyin'. The Geese were cruisin' high until the snow showers started so we set-up ROBO-DUCK! He worked like a charm. We had flock after flock come at Him at 10' off the ground and had a blast until the skies cleared and then it was back to honkers. Sory no pics of the ducks my camera batts died

Here is a little thought for you when hunting in very cold weather...keep you batters in your pants pocket so they stay warm. When you want to take pictures, put them in the camera. If early on in the day and you notice they are going, keep them warm and you should have enough "juice" to get a couple of pictures at the end of your trip...
Oh ya, love the pictures in the snow...grey days make for some great pictures...

We did the same thing on Friday, but the snow didn't start until well after we left. There were a ton of geese around and they just wouldn't finish right.
We weren't far from the Chesapeake and we actually had a flock of 5 drake Redheads fly through. I got excited and called the shot as they buzzed us and only the guy on the end had a safe shot once we figured out what was going on. He knicked one but it never fell.
There's nothing finer then orange feet and cupped wings over dry ground for sure.
