    revenge

This is the same buck I missed two times Wednesday (see strike one strike two), he came back Thursday afternoon and I had plan B in effect. I have never aimed anywhere other than where I wanted to hit on a deer even though I know they can duck. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Since this one had ducked on me two times in a row, I aim 3" below his chest line at 29 yards. The shot connected perfect. Even though I was shooting from a stand 15' high, the exit hole was higher than the entrance. This shows that the buck was dropping at an extreme angle to make a fool out of me again. Good thing he didn't know about plan B. 9 pt. 160 lb. He made it 100 yds before piling up. I used a different video camera and I haven't got the download on it figured out yet. Hope to have it soon. When you look at the video, you would think I maybe "nicked" him, break it down and it's a different tale.

    the arrow has launched...

with the arrow well on it's way, the deer has not yet reacted...

at impact, the deer has dropped about 8" on the impact side and nearly 15" on the opposite side

100 gr, Steelforce Sabertooth, usually use NAP Spitfire on deer, but had run low on those.
