RENEGADE FOX
I need ideas on how to catch a fox that has been eating my chickens. He or she has managed to get about 45 young chickens while BeagleMan has been laid up with his surgery. We have seen the fox two times, right outside our fence and neither time did we have a weapon. I was thinking of trying to trap it maybe. Any suggestions?

Cock a doodle doo
I ve caught them in the past by using a live trap with a rooster inside a cage within the trap. The trap I have is relatively large so it would hold the cage within the cage.

Get a larger size treble hook and attach to very heavy mono or cable and bury the line. Nail/screw (eye bolts work to) the other end to a nearby tree. Bury the hook in your favorite tasty dish and see what happens. Might get something other than a fox to though.

It is a pretty smart fox. some of these ideas sound good. I will have to check the trap regular. I think i have me a little blind set up, that way i can deter house cats and such, yet remain out of sight of the elusive fox. I have seen him two times but did not have the gun. The way its appitite has increased i figure that it is feeding pups. We killed two yotes in the past year. Thanks for the input. The fuzzy hat sounds like a nice project. Be sure to let me know your hat size so I can get started right away.

ROTFLMTO.......
It is true, most of the bodys heat is lost through the head. Best to wear a hat. Fox fur sounds nice...and warm...
