Glad you all are enjoying it. I'm enjoying telling the tale.

I keep a journal of my hunting season and this is a great way to keep it updated.

I can take unlimited antlerless deer with a bow in my county....Howard.

Otherwise I can shoot a buck first, then two does before shooting a second buck. The second buck requires a stamp purchase....AKA SNEAKY TAX.

so a total of 10 does and 2 bucks per weapon and unlimited does with the bow in 4 or so counties.

I think it's 2 Sika per weapon too. One stag.

-D

Those fatties would rather wallow in the mud it is now than the finished product. Let's hope they stay inside tonight. I got a fever.....and the only cure is backstraps!!!

sneaky tax

I love it... NJ is all about the extra greenbacks! even with special permits ( sneaky tax) we still need to shoot a doe first.. Personaly I think it is good we have waaay to many bald heads here and need to let some bucks get a chance togrow up... Never had horn stew anyway!

THat's right....we elect a "republican" governor and all of the fees go up. Now there's a surplus and nothing goes down.

I love me some does. Bucks make to too damn nervous and it makes me miss.

Well I got a few skeeters and a few got me. The rats were very active tonight and making all sorts of noise.

The deer just didn't make their appearance tonight. I waited and waited but nothing.

Left the stand around 7:20 and still had a touch of light left. A lone doe was accross the field at the apple tree and she didn't give me a chance to stalk her tonight. Darkness fell and as I drove up the street ole momma, the twins and aunt no kids were crossing the street. I guess the barking dog a few yards down was barking for a good reason. He didn't like the ladies crossing his yard.

Till next time.
