hi guys

about to head to the camp for the last 4 days of deer season. gonna have a little front come through tommorrow and give us a little cool weather the rut which is usually over by the 15th has never really started or we just have so many does that the bucks dont have to chase.

i havent killed a deer yet this year so wish me luck. i did see a big one last friday.....nobody has killed it yet so i gonna be in his world for 3 and half days. he needs to be scared, very scared because i'm a little desperate

If you have that many does i wouldnt rattle or call...

Espesially if there is much hunting pressure...

I have never had much sucess with either... at any time of year...

I'd be perched in a tree, like that proverbial buzzard that said to the one perched next to it, "Patience hell...I'm gonna KILL something!"

Last few days of the season, there should be a lot of desperate folks moving around, hoping to spot a buck before it spots them. That should get some of them moving. Plus you are on a full moon, which often means night feeding and daytime laydown. So, me, I'd find the best high traffic area with hopefully some big azzed tracks or other fresh buck sign on the best game trail I could find (hopefully, you have found it by now), then climb, hunker down and do my buzzard act.

I hope he shows and not only that, stops and looks back.
