Porkchops on the menu

Took a buddy of mine Hawg Huntin Monday evening in the swamp. Been feeding them good for a few days knowing he was coming into town. As we headed to the stands I decided to take a bucket of soured corn to freshen up the bait. It was a good walk....bout 300 yards off the road with the wind at my back. As I approached I noticed some sqweelin goin on out front of me, just figured thay were already on the bait and I would slip up on them for a shot. But as I got to the stand .....No Piggys? Well ...it was then I got down low and looked under the waterline mark left by receding waters that had left little or no vegetation in the swamp. I could see many pigs about 75 to 100 yards.......all with their snouts in the air smelling the wind. I thought what in the world are they smelling but then I figured maybe it was the "fresh" bucket of soured corn. I took it and strowed it across the ground and Yall it was like a stampede. Those screamin demons came runnin straight at me. I had to high tail up the ladder stand for fear of being run over by them. Big hogs, little hogs, babies they were all their fightin over the soured corn. After about a twenty minute wait of determining which one I would shoot, I picked out a 75 lb boar and hammered him between the eyes with a 270 to the brain. Pigs went in all directions! But what was funny was when a little piglet ran over to my bucket and just hid inside it. I nearly rolled out the stand laughin. Every few minutes he would peek out of the bucket and look around. Wish id had a camera for that one!
