PIKE COUNTY Illinois!!

Just got back in town last night after going to Pike County on some business. Growing up, I always heard about the BIG BUCKS that come from this part of the country. They werent jokin around. Blew my mind! We wrapped up the day Thursday evening and went for a ride on the famous Dutch Creek Rd with some locals.

About 4PM we started seein deer moving, then we came to the bottom area with at least a dozen deer in it. Thats when I see three grown bucks lift up their heads from eating. Wish I'd had a camera.

I figured all three were 160 class or better. We moved on and around the corner on the edge of a corn field stood Ole Freak Nasty! This buck was amazin! A HUGE Non Typical with drop tines going down and backwards. Our driver said he was probably a 190 class.

I just looked at the photo's for 2009, the smallest one would have been a whopper around here. Some serious bone's there. Frank
