Part of the 223 crowd now...
Found what I was looking for. Mini 14 in stainless. 2 x 20 and 1x5 on the magazines.

What kind (style) of stock is it fitted with?
That's a bad ass turtle blower upper for the Glades

I can see it's dangerous for you, but if the government trusts me, maybe you could.

She's got the wood stock... Plain jane... Thats my favorite way. I actually have a fold up and some toys that I can add on but prefer simple... No pics yet cause I have to do the 5 day wait thing (yes even on long gun in Palm Beach County)
.
Actually got her at Gander. They sell there new at $800-$950 (I know a gouge). This one looks like as new as can be. Can't even see evidence its been fired. I was there when guy traded it toward a black gun and jumped right on it. Basically half price of the new ones they had on the rack about ten feet away.

I've never bought a gun from Gander Mtn., but have heard of some similar good deals. One guy on the Ruger forum recently picked up a new GP100 Stainless for $369. Manf date was 2002 and apparantly had been sitting in the store for several years ( half lug no less). The local store near me had a nice (used) Guerini Trap gun for about $3,800 with that particular model retailing for $6,700. So I guess it pays to window shop from time to time.

Sit down Shut up And fish
Around the ranch, my mini 14 was indispensible. It's a great gun and a lot of fun.
If I was going into combat, I'd prefer an m16 but for most everythng else I'll take a mini 14.
I found the holographic sights that are available to be about perfect for my old eyes !
Enjoy !

I go to the mountain regularly. Usually sit there in disgust at their prices. Often our local one plays the price gouge game especially on ammo and popular guns. There seems to be a "thing" down here with Mini's I look on line and regularly see them for high 400's for blue and add another c note for stainless. Down here on the shelf its tough to find one on a new shelf for less than 800 or more even the used at the show last week were still fetching even higher than that.
The local Mountain seems to play that local curve. Its a matter of watching and waiting. Stepped on this one as it came in. Since before the last election there has been a run on Ammo but they are getting caught up and now running into "glut" mode on certain calibers. So they dump em.
They do have a "holy shit" room though that I have heard is very competitive in pricing. I am not one for guns that I can't pronounce the name but they do have em.

I bought this basically as a boat gun. Last year I had my ol trusty 12ga aboard and salt air alone plays hell with em...Spent too much time chasing rust. I have a stainless hand gun. still gotta stay on it but not as bad. Handguns though anymore are an invitation for trouble. None of the law enforcement agencies take kindly to em.
In Jersey they complicate stuff with Ammo regs. First off I have to have a valid hunting license there just to posess any ammo. Hollow points are a no no and will get you a real long stretch in Rahway State Prison...
They don't seem to mind the shotgun but hand gun really becomming a no no. Long gun a little more tollerated.
I'm thinking on land it might be fun for some of the spots I pig hunt... 223 not real good for brush but I have some spots with 50-100 yard clearings that a quick shooter might be the ticket for.
