Opening day of Duck Saturday

we hunt about 20 mile below Palm Springs in the desert.It was 92 degrees yesterday at 11AM!Hunting was good for mallards,and teal with one lone red head.Kind of wierd hunting ducks in a T shirt.We avg 6 bird each for 5 shooters,we were out by 9:30 as it was getting too hot.Tom

Got skunked, but a blind 400 yds away that we would have hunted shot a two man limit of mallards and a teal and wood duck.

A missed phone call kept us from joining the other two in the productive blind.

One guy on the property did score with a very old big 6 pt w/ a messed up foot. He passed on a big 12 pt to shoot the injured deer instead.

Prime Hook should be loaded with Teal and SprigTails by now but its not.

There is nothing at the hook but a dead marsh & mud.

This was the last pintail to ever come here, the traitor that he was. Shortly after the picture he was eaten by the chickens.

We ended up killing a 3 man limit but we had the best hunt out of everyone in our meadow. Yeah i think that pintail was alittle lost or confused about his "brothers"

Went with Big Harry( dad) and Little Harry (brother) did well on woodies and greenwings. Didn't see any big ducks. Turkeys came off the roost and flew over out blind about 15 yards.
