I'm hearing that there is a new biskit style rest coming out that is a drop away too? I will keep everyone informed as to my impressions as I try chit out. I do have a counter bal. on my jennings if I need one. I will be going to vanes on whatever arrows I choose. Nothing against feathers just easier to keep up in bad weather.

Keep sending the suggestions boys it's a long time to Oct. Scotty.

    True story

If your going to use a wrist strap release spend the bucks on one that buckles not the velcro kind. Learned that the hard way. Drawing back on a decent buck 30 yards a few years ago I could hear the velcro coming undone between half and three quarter draw. It let loose still attached to the ultra-noc, arrow looked like a lawn dart and from the force the release fell off and landed about 22 feet below. The buck looked right up at me and I swear laughed at me...

Another good item are the lighted nocks. I wasn't sure at first but they work well (you can you-tube it to see for yourself). You can clearly see point of inpact and finding the arrow is a hell of alot easier.

I used fixed blades (muzzy) for years and they worked well but after two seasons and 8 deer that ran less then 60 yards with a huge blood trail I am hooked on those Rage 2 blade. Also they fly VERY close to a field point. The pic below is from one of the bucks I got this year... that is the entrance...

There is know doubt they cut a big hole, but I have heard bad thing about them when they hit bone. Have you ever hit a shoulder with one yet? No one likes it but it happend and I want to go threw it when it does.

I have, actually that one exited the shoulder due to him turning to walk away when I shot.
So far three have hit the shoulder, one entrance and two exiting, like you said it happens. They all went through (bone didn't stop them) however twice it has bent the blades. I also had a doe try to duck the arrow and it literally split the spine...wish I had taken a picture of that one.

I read that they now use thicker blades then a few years ago, I assume because they would break.

i will second the rage 2 blade.... these things will leave a blood trail like none other. the only thing is you wont wont have the damage that you would with a fixed blade if you hit the shoulder square on...
