Ground hogs are getting out and about again. Got 4 today and missed another.

One sucker did a complete backflip but I couldn't find any blood or hair. It was about 175 yds w/ the .22 LR.

This one was taken at 100 yds.



Anyone ever eaten these suckers?

ever still hunt them with a bow? my buddy and i used to do it in a pasture on his farm... stalk out along the edge of the marsh and get them. first thing i ever killed with a bow.

Whistle Pigs, My Pappy used to call em.

He was into it, had three custom guns for whistle pigs, 2 -222 rem and my fave a 22-250 mauser action, douglas barrel tack driver.

I saw him kill one with the 22-250 at 526 steps.
