Has anybody out there ever heard of the Deal's Island Club, NC? I shot a duck with a leg band from the club on it and would like to get some more information of the bird...

I already did that, he knew of a Dew's Island, but not a Deal's Island...

Found out that the Wash Woods Lifesaving Station (1878-1933) was once called the Deal's Island station. Early station once used as a dance hall. Subsequent station now a private home. Maybe that's the source of the band...

Yeah, I'm familiar with the Deal Island, MD, but it definitely says NC

Do a Google. Deal Island, NC is in Currituck Sound right on the Va. Border below Back Bay on the beach side. My guess is you shot a release bird.

yep, that's where the old lifesaving station was...

Drop a line to the Chinaman...I think Brock Beasley's late dad's hunt club is right there. The Chinaman hunts in that area quite a bit.
