The plane fare was 800.00, the hunt with tip, meat processing and shipping meat back was about 4,600.00 and then we had a few hotel charges for lay days in and out, ground travel from airport and rifle permit to push it up to about 5,000.00

The Guides buy a certain amount of permits each year for each area camp. Our guide company runs 10 different camps. The hiking can be tough. At our camp I got mine by taking a small boat across the lake and hiking about a mile in. the bogs and spruces are a killer. You can sink past your knees before you know what happened. Two of the guys ended up 4 miles out in some real nasty thick spruces with major bogs. There are areas that are not bad.

As for fishing the lake trout season had just ended so we did not do any fishing. Since we killed out early, we got one carabou tag flow in and picked that up on the second day, so we did have some dead time. We just got lucky with the weather to bag out early. They usually get alot of nasty weather this time of year and we had perfect weather once we got into camp

sorry for the delay, I have been to busy watching your deer kill shots and didn't notice the replys
