Think he got him?![]()
Actually, the hunter is about 275 yards from the antelope and I was standing on the running board of a truck about 100 yards behind the shooter. He hit him solidly on the first shot, but put two more into him before he fell.

Damn that's wild.
I didn't know you were headed out there....you whack one too?

This is an "on the ground" pic of the one above
If you look to the right, you can see him moving in. He started out about 600 yards away and was about 350 from the shooter when I took this pic. The shooter had belly crawled about 75 yards up a small rise to get into position
Since the antelope could just see him, he started his fatal walk to the hunter to see who the intruder in his pasture was.
I took a buck of similar size from 125 yards, shooting from a fence post.
Bill took the big one in camp, measuring 2 1/2" under the Boone and Crockett limit of 80". He was already in the freezer by the time we got back from camp so I dont have any pics.
Bill watched a guy miss a significantly larger buck at 125 yards. Can you say buck fever?
There were 5 in our group and we were all limited out by 2pm (I was the last one). There were 12 people in camp and the last hunter was done by lunch on Sunday.
We hunted with Magnum Guide Service, who did a great job

The hunt was on 30,000 acres of private land. All fair chase, no high fence, during the two day New Mexico rifle season.
Very beautiful animals! Ya'll make it look easy.
