New to duck/goose hunting...

This will be my first year duck/goose hunting. My names Allan and I live in Sparrows Point, MD and am looking for some people that have room for 1 more every now and then to teach me the ropes. I am pretty limited on availability due to my college schedule, mon & wed have class starting at 130, tues & thrus start at 1230 but am available every friday and probably every other saturday. Also looking for a list of the basics that I need, am on a limited budget b/c of school and not being able to work full time. Please let me know what I absolutly have to have. Damn son, are you going to be a duck hunter or are you going to just fart around?---- Duck hunting put me on the 7 year college plan--- Anthony was a marketing major I think, so he got through in 6---CL, hell, I think he's got almost a college credit for each of his years by now--- I think he's 46 or 47-- BTH?-- he don't count --- EZC (E. Carolina). Swancaller?--- hell, he joined the Navy in '82 cause he thought he'd get to go to Argentina during the Faulklands war. LMS-ILM?--- he's lying to everyone, he ain't been out of the Marsh except to go fishing. You have to have your priorities and there is a time for everything--- college will be there after duck season-- I guarandamntu.
Now, the way I see it, Mondays & Wednsdays should be no problem getting to school most of the time. But this Tuesday and Thursday thing has me a bit worried--- especially if you're going to shoot some lolly gagging country club geese. But that's ok, I assume you only have 2 classes on Tues/ Thurs. so you're still in good shape for holding onto 3 classes. What worries me is if you plan on hunting tidal water--- I mean every other week, your Mon/Wed class schedule just ain't going to cut it--- Of course, missing only half the time right before final exams ain't but a few classes, so actually you should be good to go.

Seriously, I have two boys in school eaten up with duck hunting. You'll be able to get a month of heavy hunting in during Xmas break. There are pleanty of duck hunters on this board and I'm sure several will be glad to give you an invite from up your way. I'll be glad to take you, but I hunt in eastern Virginia and hunt as much as I can during the weekdays.

I would poke around asking again during the season. Assuming you have a gun, start stocking up on shells now so it's not such a crunch at one time.
