    Bowtec vs Mathews

I shoot a Bowtec Mighty Mite which is 31.5" axle to axle. My dad shoots a Bowtec Tech 29 which is 29" axle to axle. They both shoot over 300 fps. I don't think you can go wrong with either of these bows or the Justice, Liberty, or any new Mathews. They are all very good bows. Make sure you go to a shop and get the correct draw length. That is extremely important for shooting well. Don't be scared to shoot carbon arrows with expandable broadheads. They can be expensive but they are extremely accurate. I have now killed (3) 30" mule deer with them and will not change. I hope this helps.

You guys have put some great points out on a tough subject.. My own thoughts are this... Pitch Bait... Consider where you will hunt.. Thick & tight vs wide open.. tree or ground.. listen to the advice about a good, no Great Pro Shop... there is knowledge to be had there.. find something you are comfortable shooting, again Technology is great but Bows are PRIMATIVE wepons.. Find your comfort zone and stick to it the deer will be afraid!! Good Luck.. for the record.. started with a Jennings @ 16 years old moved to a Hyott @ 21 Just purchased a Virgin Cabelas Outfitter 1 & 1/2 cam last winter... have shot a recurve for over thirty years and think that is the most fun some times! Good LUCK & remember to post that first one on here!

bobby i have a alpine brand new used hunting once and shot targets for fun. Bow is top of the line with everything you'll ever need. Its a 60-70 lb pull with a 75-80% let off. The bow was set up by my buddy who shoots in tournaments all over. I don't really use it anymore so its laying around. I spent just over 1,000 setting it up with the best of the best. If intrested i'll let it go for 650$ with everything to you if you want it.
