Need Swamp boot advice
Need some advice on a good pair of swamp boots. I made it through the holidays with less spent than I had thought, and the wife OKed me getting some new boots.
I am looking for a reasonably priced pair of high boots 16" or up, that will last more than a year or two. Insulation is secondary to comfort and waterproofness. I have looked at the boots online, and am leaning towards these... http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...030&hasJS=true
but I can pick up these locally but reviews dont leave me very confident. So any one have a pair of good swamp boots that they recommend??? http://www.gandermountain.com/modper...ID=4015&r=view

I think Admin is going to let me have this space
For everday use, the plain old black concrete boots sold at the hardware are hard to beat. But for mild to cold weather I like Mucks.

I would second the mucks. A buddy of mine got some and wanted me to try them out so I put them on. They are super lightweight and feel like you are walking on a cushion of air, waterproof, and the tops are neoprene to help keep you warm. My next pair will definately be the Mucks and I think he paid $90 for them.

Anthony's Ark is a blowboater
recommend the Mucks as well but I also own a pair of red head (Muck knock offs) that are pretty good too.
If you can spare the extra $ you won't be sorry with the Mucks

Well, sounds like its pretty unanimous about the Mucks. I have two places in two that sell them. Will go try on a couple and see how they fit.
I have a big hoof, so finding my size is a PITA. Defiantely need to get a better pair of boots than the 6 inch boots I have been wearing into the swamps.
Thanks to all for the advice.
