    N/C RED WOLF...

DID SOME QUICK RESEARCH, THE RED WOLF PROJECT WAS STARTED IN N/C IN 88, THEY ALSO CLAIM THE SAME FOR TENN AND FLORIDA, THEY CLAIM THERE ARE SOME 100 HEAD IN TOTAL.

THEY DO LOOK LIKE A YOTE FOR SURE AND THEY ALSO CLAIM THEY INTER BREED WITH OTHER DOGS, WHICH COULD AND WILL BE A HUGE PROBLEM IN THE FUTURE.

I know a farmer near Plymouth that took two out for killing his chickens. Poisoned them with counter and they died less than 500 yrds from his house. One was wearing a radio collar and the game warden shoed up a few days later but didn't citer him because they were damaging livestock.

    Believe it or Not,

This comes from the folks working with the wolves. They have trapped them, inserted a "chip" of some sorts under the skin that starts transmitting if the bodly temp drops below normal. That way they can find them when they are killed. Rumor has it if one is killed, it's best to tend to it very quickly (before the temp falls too much). One such rumor is to weigh it down with(cinder blocks, bricks, iron, etc...) and toss it over board at the nearest bridge. Seems transmittion isn't so great under water. Again only rumor!!! Frank

Hmmm..... Wonder if they put the same chips in the coyotes they brought into Medoc Mountain State Park?
