    Question Muzzleloaders???

getting a new muzzleloader for this upcoming season... looking into the CVA brand. looking for one that is not to expensive. i would also like to be able to change it into a rifle. i think the TC encore has this. what are your opinions?

I have a T/C omega and it's been a great ML. I now have a T/C encore, and wish I would have just gotten one of them first.

I don't know squat about the other brands b/c I bought the best first. You can't beat a T/C Muzzleloader IMO.

Keep an eye out for used guns on the net and you can probably get into a 209x50 T/C encore for around $500. Remember, that once you have an encore you can buy barrels and get a whole new gun for $200-$500 depending on the caliber and specs.

I would rather sell you my backup T/C Omega than see you buy a cheap M/L Start out right and you will enjoy the hobby forever the problems that happen with lower priced guns just never seem to be worth the initial savings.

I have both a cva & a T/C Omega. I like both of them & wouldn't hesitate to take either in the field. (the T/C has a better scope so I usually use that one) The CVA w/ the break action is easier to clean than the omega but I have a stainless barrel on the T/C so it can sit for a while before cleaning.

When I bought the Omega I chose that over the encore because I would never change barrels & basically for the same price as a barrel you could pick up a used rifle at a local gun shop. You always need more guns not more barrels.

If I had to choose today it would be a T/C Triumph w/ out question. I got two friends that bought them last year & as far as I know both love them.

I am all about the Triumph just need more field time before I make any further comments/ reccomendations, but I do agree I always need/want more guns why buy a barrel when I can buy another gun
