The correct spelling is --- mommick---
Is it a verb???--- hell I don't know--- but we used to use that word alot. Don't see it used much anymore.
Mommick-- to abuse, to work on hard, to show no mercy.

My mom and dad use "mommicked" all the time, you never know what you are going to hear from the eastern shore of VA...sometimes I think dad just makes words up.
