    Military surplus ammo

Hey Guys I need a little help. My brother has gotten into shooting military arms. The problem is trying to find in expensive ammo in NJ. So I told him I'd ask around and you guys might be able to help. Is there any where that any of you all know of in MD DE PA or even Jersey, Where I can find Military surplus Ammo for:

    7.62x54r
    303 enfield
or Japanese type 99 Arisaka in 7.7mm

Thank You for your time. Tim

No offense but....Good luck! Cheap and Ammo are not really used in the same sentence anymore! Especially rounds like the .762 and other assault weapon ammunition. Ammo around my parts in Philly/ Delaware area is expensive, and tough to come by in bulk rate. Even .45 auto is tough to find at a fair price. Let me know how you do!

Sportsmans Guide .com often has sales on odd ball calibers like that... They send me sale notices all the time. When they say ammo, its seldom any caliber I can use and more often odd bulk stuff..

Well the first. 7.62x54R isn't too bad. My brother picks up cases of 70's production all the time. Pretty cheap. We run it through our Mosins all the time. It is corrosive though.

However, .303 enfield and 7.7mm is money. My brother was buying .303 enfield in sellier bellot and reloading since SB's brass is pretty good quality. Buying those calibers will be tough

Thanks Guys, I knew you guys would point me in the right dirtection.
Jay your in Jersey right, You have no problems shipping ammo into this state. I looked at sportsmans site and they do not mention jersey as a problem. But it also states check state and local laws concerning ammo delivery.
Cool well thanks again gang I appreciate it. Tim

Nope should be good to go! Things like high cap mags (over 15 rounds in NJ), air rifles/pistols, stun guns, and such can't be shipped. As far as i know there are no problems shipping ammo.

Only thing is it has to be shipped ground.

I ordered 500rds. of 9mm last week and my brother just ordered a 1000 of 7.62x39

Pick up a copy of shotgun news, there are always good prices listed for ammo in the ads just flip through and dont be afraid to call for prices. Also check gunbroker.com, under ammo search for the caliber you want.
