    Mattamuskeet Fun

Hunted Friday and Saturday. Friday we all got our limits of Pintail and a small swan. Friday night steamed oysters and we shot the hunting simulator at Pat Simmons place. That was awesome. Saturday we saw lots of birds but pulled no real duck feathers due to heavy hunting pressure and wary birds. I did participate in my first ever coot shoot. The meat went to a local family. We killed apx. 100 coots. Harris's was as good as always and I still contend that the Big Trout in Englehard is the best seafood restaurant on the entire planet.

I used to always go hunt the pamlico the last few day of the season around maskeet. with all the pressure the birds all run to the big water to get away might be an idea for you next year it wont take much scouting to find them the teal will come in as if you were on top of the sugar.
