Congrats on the youth day success! Nothing like it. Took the Little Saxis Islander for youth day waterfowl last week - just after he received his hunter safety card and license. First shot for the lil redneck was fifty teal at mach 5. No blood. Second shot was a decoying mallard. No blood. Convinced ten geese that they needed to join our phony flock and he cut one out. Then made short work of another single to fill his limit of honkers. Left the marsh happy and headed for the Greene Turtle to celebrate his success with some wings and wash. Great day!
Again - congrats on the success but more importantly congrats on taking the time to take the boy hunting. Keep it up!
Thanks for the compliments guys,I did the same for my oldest son over 10 years ago,but now that he will be 25 in Dec,he has gone into his own full blown rut,and hunting and fishing with the Old Man is now secondary.I am just passing on the Traditions that came from my Dad and my Paw Paw,who always took the time to drag me along when I was only a few years old.Saxis GOOD LUCK with your son this year and may the Gods Of Nature shine down upon him
