Local news needs to get it right.
Heading to town today driving the minivan on an afternoon family outing in a string of traffic running about 50 or so. Got a little glimps of a doe heading our way and she turned straight into us. Hated to do it, but I punted her into the far ditch like a rag doll with little damage to the car and no one hurt. The doe was a clean kill as I pulled into an open drive making sure she didn't cause an accident but no movement confirmed she was done.
What makes me crazy is our local media with stories warning drivers that hunters are in the woods running deer out on the roads. They don't have a clue as this doe was on the move mid day coming from someones backyard. Has nothing to do with hunting but nature on the move during the breeding season. Happens every year.

Happened again... Returning from fishing at a neighbors just up the road this evening and catch one on the bumper of the crew cab. No Sunday hunting and the morning News said the deer would be resting. 2 tags filled and hadn't picked up the gun yet. Crazy I have never hit a deer before yesterday, now 2 within 30 hrs.

If Ignorance is bliss, Why aren't more people happy?
Maybe you need to slow down, or go down the street and put up some deer crossing signs so they'll know where to cross
