It's time to show off your pictures of your 2008 hunting. Not all pictures have to be of your trophy. Alot of my memories of the field come in the form of cold noses with wagging tails, warm fires with good friends, and large dinners. The game we chase is only the excuse we use to bond with our friends and steal time away from our jobs. The trophy's are only bragging right to pass the time while we wait for next season. Show us your trophy's and tell us your story's.
2008 buck taken on my parents farm in Tioga county PA near the town of Westfield. Although this is not the largest deer I have ever taken, its the largest Pa buck I have harvested in PA. This deer should score about 140 gross. The antler restrictions in the area have helped our deer heard. We now have less deer but better quilty.
2008 big game hunting season started off real well for us up here in PA. The real trophy in my life (Tracy) started the season off taking a 202lbs female black bear. She took this bear at 7:15am witch gave her son Bradly and I the rest of the day to get it out of the woods for her........ it was nice of her to give us the whole day to get it out......
Deer hunting is about spending time with good friends. My second cousin Jeff and I grew up almost as close as brothers. Jeff lost his father at a real young age. Jeff and I learned to hunt and fish together from my father. Jeffs dad was my father's hunting and fishing buddy right up until his untimley death. It just natural the way we bond in the field and at sea. Jeff worked his ass off this year on the food plotts and minral licks on the farm. This deer was just some of the fruit from his labor.
there is only one thing better then share time afield with your best friend................
when your best friend for the day happens to be a 12 year old. Dereck is Tracy's youngest son.
This is the second deer we took together over the years. Dereck is not only patient but works hard to lear the ways of the wood. One shot of his left handed browning 243 brought this north central pa but to the plate and to the wall. Since he mounted his first deer last year he elected to do an european mount with this one.
way to go pro ! Looks like you and Kyle had a blast. Next year we will have to work on getting a hat rack for Kyle.
The freezer is full. Bradly, Tracy's oldest boy shot a nice doe this year for meat. We might get back to it in flintlock season. Brad still has a buck tag and we have a few d=map managment doe tags we can use.
Every one in camp past up some nice bucks this year. we were only hunting for nice bucks. if the guys wanted meat they took doe. the hunting keeps getting better. i snaped a few pictures of some doe and small bucks while Dereck and i were in the tree stand.
mom and dad did real well this year in pa. Yes my mother does hunt deer. She does pretty good. If you think she is good with a rifle you should see her with a shotgun.
I will put her up against most guys on the sporting clays course.
Mom has been big game hunting since we were kids. Hunting in PA on our farm is somthing we have always done as a family. mom has hunted whitetail, muledeer, and elk. she has hunted in spain new zealand with my father. She has also made quite a few trips to south america wing shooting

I'm glad someone I like did good this year... The blamerator, thunderstick and the smokenboom all three stayed quiet this year for me... Couldn't even get the doves to fly earlier this week...
Pronged one scrawny doe and that was that... Might do a hog hunt later this winter but 08 for me was the blamless one...
