the hunting just keeps getting better up here in pa. the state has set up an antler restiction program that has to have 3 pointes on a side. state also has increased the antlerless tags so we have reduced our over all numbers, but the bucks keep getting better. we have about 1200 acres we hunt on and we have about 100 acres in food plots. the hard work and money has payed off.

There sure are some nice deer up that way! My family actually owned about 300 acres just across the border in NY, near Canisteo. Great area, really enjoyed hunting up there! Unfortunately, with my dad and uncle moving out of NY, my Grandfather just couldn't take care of the property so he had to sell it. Wish I could've bought it but I guess that's life. 1200 acres is a great spread! Looks like you guys are doing great on it!

For years the southren teir of NY was a shotgun only area. We have wide open area so the guys and NY were at somewhat of a handicap. Becuse of the this alot of big deer got away and made their home across the line near our farm. NY has change to rifle hunting to we need to work harder now on our own antler restricitons. The best deer managment we have found it go light on the trigger. You will never have 150 class deer if you shoot all the 130s

I didn't realize they had gone to rifle?! That's pretty cool! You're definitely right about the light on the trigger. It was hard around our area with the "year around hunters" and being bordered by state land. Always lots of deer though!

Nice bucks. They are sporting some heavy bodies.
Deer hunting was slow for me... Only really deer hunted a couple times. I am like Deep C.... going to red the knife with Hog blood. Hopefully Monday is a good day in the woods.

Love to see deer in the snow. I am from Maine, and still havent got used to hunting in dry hot scrub.
