Ted,thats probably what I enjoy more than anything else. Taking pictures and recording my deer. Its all about raising them. I figure about 75% of my bucks killed on my farm were raised here, I know them from the time they are born till the time I decide to harvest them. QDMA really works if people will just work at it. I dont kill a Slobberknocker every year but every two or three years a grown buck is taken. Hell never be a Big Un if you take him when hes 2-3 years old. Great pictures, youll see thise two guys again, imagine what they will look like at 4-5 years old.
We are all about letting the little guys grow. Actually most of us would let them die of old age if possible or let a young hunter take one. A few years back be were upset about the number of buttons shot for young doe and found that in the later part of the season the mature doe will run off a young button and keep the young doe by her side. If you see a single young deer, better than 9 out of 10 its a buck. Something to think about if you choose to take a young one now and then.
