BeagleMan returned from his hunting trip while I was at work. Here is the report. Sorry no pics the ducks were already cleaned when I got home. And a couple roasting in the fireplace. Long cold night. He is getting too old to be sleeping in the bottom of the boat. They say they heard boats running all night. By daylight they were surrounded by boats. Those A$$ wipes that ran through their decoys last night were close enough that they could hear them talking. Ten minutes before shooting time his heart was racing so hard he thought he was having another heart attack from anticipation when it happened. Those a$$ wipes behind us started shooting. And I don't mean one or two shots, but out right hammering them. Sky filled up with birds. They heard a motor coming after a few minutes of this. They hollered at them a couple of times. And flashed them the light. But the boat kept coming. Figured it must be DNR. Going to write them a$$ wipes a ticket. Pulls to the edge of the decoys and cuts his boat off. Hollers for Chris. Chris. Who the phuck is Chris? Ain't no Chris here. Now by this time it is legal shooting time. Everybody is shooting but us. So a$$ wipe boat number three idles around the decoys and joins his buddies in the wood they figure. Those boys really had a good shoot. No calls just shooting. Guess they were eating something. After that their morning went good. After a little while decided not to blow the call. If he circled to come back he never made it. Too many people there to try and work them. They just shot what come close enough to shoot. Three man blind 14 birds. 8 summers, 3 tame mallards and 3 teal. Actually 4 teal but an otter got one, that is a whole other story. Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable day.
