    Last ducks of the year

were Canvasbacks. And the Nantikoke near Squidnation Bill's home port was absolutley covered up with them yesterday. But they didn't come easy because they were tough to draw from the big flocks. We saw (unscientific estimate) between 3 and 5000 witch include 1 flock of well over 1000. We managed our birds that came in singles and 2s and Fd up an opportunity on the only bunch (maybe 15) of blackheads we saw.

Interestingly, I heared more shooting from the marsh yesterday than I heard all year. Seems like the puddle ducks finally arrived in time for the end of the season.

    We'll getum next year.

Way to get on the Kings Bert.

Our birds high tailed it between Wedensday and today. We hunted the afternoon tide and maybe saw 50 ducks total--- didn't even pull the trigger today.

    Congrats to all this season

That's good you saw big numbers today...we went this morning and saw 4 woodies and called it quits early. We saw a good amount of mallards this afternoon and managed 6 drakes so we were happy to end on that.

Our year ended as usual... Tremendous effort put forth from 4 am to 6 pm ending, as usual, with Anthony, Parker, and Bob pushing the boat across a mudflat as we were nearly stranded at Arbuckle's Neck.

    Saw many, killed few.

Nice day to forget my waders!

And they are suppose to fly in this...slick calm, 20,000 birds less than a mile away ...dark line in the water are ducks...looked like oyster rocks in the river...

Ray Jr's kids in the middle Chad and Tra with a couple of their cousins

What ended up as the 84 Lumber- Hardy Plank crew...

Well at least we got it done and safely through another duck season... Now for kids day next weekend...

Must say it was a great ending to the year. Being my birthday i was hoping for maybe some good luck and i do believe i got it.

First thing in the AM was able to shoot 2 GREEN WING TEAL with one shot , couldnt believe it, cant hit em when its one bird let alone 2 in 1 and on the last day of duck season to boot

Managed to pick away a couple black ducks and a mergatoid. Saw a lot of birds and wiffed some really easy shots on a lot ducks. Overall best last day of the season ive ever had. Was a great way to end 08.

Congrats to all the duck slayers on here and the great seasons that were had by many.

And again thanks blueprints for the awesome day/season you guys shared with me.
