I'm in Love Again,

No not cheatin' on the wife! Took some time and went squirrel hunting again this afternoon! Haven't been in a couple of year's, just too busy I told myself. Took some time to fine tune the old .22 I've alway's used (got it used when I was 12 yr's old), it's an old Marlin bolt action. We've had a real big acorn crop and a squirrel crop to go with it. Not as exciting as an up-close bear handgun hunt, but really fun just the same. Eight squirre's were selected to be dinner guest's at the SeaPower home. My "Country Girl" know's how to make em' right at home. Yes I took picture's, I'll post them when I post the bear pic's. Nothin could be finer than to be in Carolina!!! Frank

I haven't squirrel hunted in a long time, but it sure was great fun.

Tenacious, wise guy. The pic's are taken, just haven't tried to get them out of the camera yet. At least I'm takin' picture's.
HYBH, I put them in the pressure cooker for about 3 minutes (after it start's to jiggle). A little salt and pepper, bay leaves and some onion's. Take em' out let cool for a bit, put them in a milk and egg mix. Then roll em' in some flour and fry them in a pan. You can also make them with dumpling's, like you would chicken. I do rabbit the same way. They sure are good. Frank

Frank.....we love em too. I usually boil em in Game Tame, bread em, fry em, then pour a brown gravy sauce over em. Sometimes I fry em then put them in a pot of brown rice. Oh my they are good!

Love shooting tree rats. Shot three out the back door about an hour ago, i need more cayote bait
